Dancing Our History, Drumming Our Unity

The festival stage will pulse with the energetic movements of Ohangla, the graceful steps of Dudu, and the haunting melodies of Orutu and Nyatiti music performed by master musicians and cultural troupes from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and South Sudan. Each performance tells stories of love, celebration, struggle, and triumph, preserving oral traditions and connecting past to present.

These performances are more than entertainment, they are living heritage, demonstrating how music and dance serve as vessels of cultural memory, identity, and unity.

Young dancers performing alongside seasoned artists showcase successful intergenerational transmission of knowledge, while the diverse styles from different Luo communities across East Africa celebrate our unity in diversity.
